Terence A. Townsend was born and
raised in Temple, TX. Raised in a single parent household by his mother, Paula
S. Townsend, he attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the
leadership of Dr. C. Edward Maze. Terence received his license to Minister the
Gospel, at the age of 18, in May of 1991 and graduated from Temple High School
the same year. Since then He has served with many ministries, including church
start-ups, as a vital part of their growth and programming.
Terence moved to Dallas to work and attend school. While there, He served as a founding member of Sons Of God Ministry Inc. which was led by then Pastor Pamela J. Payne. This ministry was in association with New Horizon Ministries of Richmond, VA; where Terence received his ordination.
Terence met his future wife Jacqueline Townsend while on a business trip in
Dallas, TX. They fell in love and married December 1999. Both Terence &
Jacqueline love the Lord and felt a strong leading to serve in the Ministry of
the Gospel of Christ. Together they are raising their four children:
Delejae, age 20, Deshawn, age 14, Christopher, age 7 & Corrin, age 6.
In 2000, Terence was called to serve as youth pastor at Corinth Baptist Church,
which is lead by their pastor, Dr. U.C. Barnes. After a year of service, God
released Terence from this post with the instructions found in these verses of
scripture:
(Luke 9:1-6 KJV)
1) Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and
authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2) And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3) And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor
scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
4) And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
5) And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off
the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
6) And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and
healing every where."

Through a period of testing and preparation, Apostle Townsend and his Family are persisting to remain focused on the purposes and plans that God has set forth for their lives. "I am not worthy of the work that God has called me to, but I Thank Him for this opportunity to Serve Him in this capacity. It’s all about seeing souls saved and lives changed." – Apostle Terence A.
